Yeidikook’áa (Dionne Brady-Howard) is Yéil (raven) moiety, Kiks.ádi (frog) clan, X’aaká Hít (Point House). She is a child of  Teiḵweidí (brown bear) clan. Yeidikook’áa was born and raised in Sitka by grandparents who were active in the Tribe and community. She has worked as dance show coordinator for Sheet’ká Ḵwáan Tribe/Sitka Tribe of Alaska. Yeidikook’áa is a culture-bearer and educator. She taught social studies at Mt. Edgecumbe High School for more than two decades, and currently teaches at Outer Coast College. She is a graduate of Mt. Edgecumbe High School and has a bachelor’s degree from Sheldon Jackson College. She leads the Sheet’ká Ḵwáan dancers, serves as President of Sitkans Against Family Violence Board, and coordinates local Native events in Sitka. She serves on the Council to assert and protect our Tribal sovereignty and ensure we are serving our citizens’ needs.
